The Retail Web Technology team is responsible for developing and maintaining one of Schwab’s primary digital channels. The Retail Web Technology (RWT) department at Charles Schwab is a leading edge organization in terms of technical strategy and delivery. We are currently undergoing a transformation to a more agile/lean process methodology, with a vision to get to continuous integration/continuous delivery. We are implementing cutting edge Agile practices such as Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Paired Programming. We are also adopting Lean Management practices such as Standard Work, Visual Management Systems and Gemba Walks.
What you’ll do:
Business Analysts are responsible for understanding and translating the needs of the business with the use of technology. You will ensure their deliverables are aligned with business need and requirements, provide advice, and work cross-functionally with the project team. You will liaise with product management, development, and quality assurance in planning and development efforts.
You will drive creation of software requirements in the form of User Stories using Gherkin syntax. The right candidate will develop consensus across teams, facilitate discussion, and partner with business to identify workflows and through the requirements, translate vision into executable requirements, and help with development of product roadmaps.
What you have:
5 – 8 years’ experience with IT Business analysis experience
College degree or equivalent experience
Experience working in an Agile environment and creating requirements for web platform
Familiarity with Agile requirements Development of stories using Gherkin syntax
Experience performing business analyst activities or project management activities
Prior Financial Industry/Brokerage experience preferred
Solid analytical skills and ability to multi-task to perform multiple complex tasks with attention to detail
Operate with little oversight on day-to-day work with general direction on assignments
Ability to explain complex subjects via phone to internal and external clients
Attention to detail and a disciplined approach to developing processes.
Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple simultaneous project assignments
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
Schwab systems knowledge preferred
Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics.
