Our Opportunity:

As a member of the Corporate Information Technology (CIT) Operations group, you will be immersed in a collaborative, innovative, and technically challenging environment. This position will be responsible for implementing unique solutions that support our business within a highly distributed application infrastructure.

What you’ll do:

We're looking for technology engineers who are enthusiastic about learning new and existing technologies in order to provide exceptional software solutions. Strong work ethic, strong problem solving and the ability to partner with business and technologists across the organization is required. The position will be responsible for working with application development & support teams to implement solutions that enhance the reliability of our applications. This position will interact with business stakeholders and technology counterparts across many areas of Schwab.

What you have:

The role will require a high level or responsibility and strong willingness to learn and grow. Strong work ethic, communication skills, design and development skills, strong problem solving skills and the ability to partner with business and technology professionals across the organization is required.

  • Bachelors degree with some .NET or Java background

  • Coursework and/or experience in object oriented languages such as Java, C# or C++ Coursework and/or experience in software engineering principles, such as software design patterns

  • Coursework and/or experience in database principles, such as SQL, Oracle, MongoDB or Hadoop

  • Coursework and/or experience in user interfaces, such as HTML5, Jquery, CSS

  • Coursework and/or experience with scripting for Windows in Powershell and scripting for Linux using Bash or KShell

  • Coursework and/or experience with build and deployment automation using tools such as Bamboo or Jenkins

  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and or Agile methodologies

  • A passion for understanding and leveraging new tools and technologies

  • A passion for leveraging technology to build products and processes that "wow" users
