Our Opportunity:

The Ultra High Net Worth Specialist consults with High Net Worth Schwab Clients regarding their Wealth Management needs with particular attention to topics such as trust and estate planning, risk management and insurance planning, transfer tax and post-mortem planning, charitable planning, business succession planning, and asset protection planning. As a SME, the Wealth Strategist partners closely with internal client relationship owners in order to provide educational support for client questions and planning needs.

What you’ll do:

This role requires expert-level financial planning knowledge, with specific attention to tax, law, and estate planning strategies. This position has broad cross-functional and business stakeholder influence and in-depth knowledge of comprehensive financial planning and wealth management disciplines. It requires the ability to act in a consulting capacity internally and externally, in support of a variety of business development opportunities. Requires the ability to effectively advise Schwab’s most affluent clients and complex situations.

  • Financial Planning knowledge and experience in dealing with critical wealth management issues

  • Advanced knowledge and experience dealing with client issues with over $10m in assets.

  • Knowledge and experience describing all of Schwab services and branding partners.

  • High level of complexity in multiple areas:

  • Financial Planning

  • Estate & Legacy Planning

  • Business Succession Planning

  • Tax Planning

  • Insurance & Asset Protection Planning

  • Charitable Planning

Description:

Role requires expert technical and conversational competency with clients and internal/external business partners in order to provide a clear understanding of issues and considerations surrounding estate planning

Examples:

  • Cross enterprise partnership to develop and implement acquisition and service to support corporate sales initiatives

  • Inbound/outbound calls to act as subject matter expert to PCs, FCs and other business units

  • Inbound/outbound calls to consult with high net worth clients in formal and informal ways

  • Write and/or review sales literature for accuracy and clarity

  • Write and/or review educational literature for accuracy and clarity

Job Responsibilities:

  • Consult with high net worth clients on financial planning issues including trusts, and other estate planning considerations

  • Illustrate various planning scenarios for clients to consider with their own attorneys

  • Act as subject matter experts internally and externally

  • Document client interaction

  • Public speaking to partners and clients

  • *Does not provide specific legal or tax advice

What you have:

  • College degree required. Graduate degree, or Professional degree such as J.D., C.P.A, CFP preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of industry related professional experience required.

  • Public speaking and advanced knowledge and expertise to provide advice to clients with >$10m.
