Our Opportunity:

Schwab is looking for Senior Program Director who shares our passion for technology, collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Our main goal here at Schwab is to transform people’s lives by changing the way the world invests. As a Senior Program Director you will create plans, lead scrum of scrums, collaborate across the cross-organizational teams effort, manage budget, manage risks, provide oversight, and document all aspects of our projects across a large Project Portfolio. You will work closely with the other Program Directors and project managers of consuming products to align on product delivery. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience working with technology and business partners to produce results in a timely manner. The candidate will work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects to maintain all aspects of the overall software development lifecycle and ensure the on-time, quality delivery of software product releases.

What you’ll do:

  • Plan, formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects

  • Lead scrum of scrums

  • Decide on suitable strategies and objectives

  • collaborate across the cross-organizational teams effort

  • Prepare and communicate platform wide program roadmaps

  • Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities

  • Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements

  • Preparing an annual budget, analyzing variances, initiate corrective actions

  • Apply change, risk and resource management

  • Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI

  • Resolve projects’ higher scope issues

  • Prepare reports and communicate across multiple levels of leadership

  • Facilitate key team and stakeholder meetings

What you have:

Required

  • 5 + years proven experience as a Senior Program Director managing programs up to $50MM a year.

  • Ability to create presentations for C-level executives audience

  • Formal training in program management practices

  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods

  • Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles

  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent problem-solving ability

  • BS or MS in computer science or related technical field

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (MS Project etc.) is preferred
