Centralized Data & Reporting (CDR) is a support group that provides reporting and analytical solutions to many Retirement Plan Services’ (RPS) departments. We partner closely with the business to understand their respective processes and data, and provide the best technical and analytical solutions possible.
What you’ll do:
The Senior Data Analyst will be a self-driven individual well versed in reporting, relational database, SQL, and data analysis skills. As a member of an organization with broad business impact, the data analyst will work directly with business partners and colleagues to develop and support management reporting for the RPS business, which will include a high degree of data visualization, and user-driven analysis capabilities, all geared toward driving action and business growth.
The primary responsibilities of the data analyst manager will include, but not be limited to:
Scope analytics work including determining analysis approach and conducting analysis
Work independently or collaboratively throughout the complete analytics project lifecycle including data extraction/preparation, analysis and delivery.
Proactively analyzes data to uncover insights that increase business value and impact.
Support Schwab business partners on a wide range of analytics projects from adhoc requests to large scale cross-functional engagements.
Support development of tools and infrastructure to scale operations, increase efficiencies, and improve quality of results
Partner with technical and non-technical resources across the business to lever their support and integrate our efforts.
What you have:
B.S degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or similar quantitative field.
1-3 years’ experience in an analytical role
Understands and applies best practices related to reporting, dashboards, and data visualization; Salesforce integration a plus.
Experienced developing dashboards and design requirements based on discussion with an understanding of technical and visual design considerations.
Data Management and Architecture experience.
Understanding of the benefits of data warehousing, data architecture, data quality processes, fact and dimension tables, and data modeling.
Conceptual thinker, learner, and effective problem solver
Comfortable delivering complex solutions in tight timeframes
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to communicate effectively in business terms with business partners up to the VP level
Strong client focus/customer service skills
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to consistently deliver solid, successful solutions with short development cycles that hit the mark on the initial delivery
Knowledge of brokerage business, financial services, and/or Schwab a plus
