Our Opportunity:

Advisor Services Technology is looking for a Sr. Manager to lead engineering teams focused on the enhancement, maintenance, and support of a suite of Portfolio Management products.

What you’ll do:

You will be responsible for managing a team of full-time and contract engineers. Must have a proven track record of successfully leading development staff using an Agile methodology. Must value teamwork and have a strong history of interacting and communicating successfully with business partners, technology team, recruiting personnel, offshore, and professional services.

What you have:

Leadership

  • Personnel management experience over technical staff including objective setting, career path guidance, and staff performance

  • Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to evangelize vision and direction in a way that drives contagious staff motivation

  • Strong experience facilitating issue intervention

  • Experience guiding offshore and/or professional services staff

  • Strong estimation skills providing accurate estimates with defined risks and planned mitigations

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate technical discussions and drive solutions forward to achieve business needs

  • Able to thrive in a dynamic fast paced environment with many moving parts and a large variety of responsibilities

  • Self-starter with outstanding multitasking capabilities

  • Experience defining and deploying processes

Technical

  • Strong object oriented design skills

  • Ability to grasp difficult concepts, large architectures, and sophisticated designs quickly

  • 5+ years of experience successfully developing applications for Windows platforms using Microsoft technologies

  • Experience developing in C#, .NET, services and web applications

  • Experience with SQL, LINQ, WPF, Silverlight, ASP, JavaScript, VB.NET, REST/Soap Services, HTML5, Automation (Unit Test and QA)

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field
