Our Opportunity:

Asset Reconciliation performs reconciliations and oversight functions for various business groups including Mutual Funds, Stock Plan Services, Client Tax Reporting, Alternative Investments, Settlements, and Schwab Bank. The group also manages the creation and monitoring of all firm accounts. We use a collaborative approach, working with the teams we support as true partners. We assist management throughout Schwab Operations in building and enhancing the necessary infrastructure to manage operational risk efficiently and effectively.

What you’ll do:

The Team Manager will have specific responsibility for:

  • Managing the day to day responsibilities of a team of 4 to 5 employees.

  • Working with Asset Recon management and staff to develop and enforce team/corporate policies, procedures and controls.

  • Completing daily, weekly, and monthly QA of functions performed on the team and within department.

  • Delivering business results and creating a work environment that promotes employee engagement.

  • Setting clear expectations and consistently providing information, resources, feedback, coaching and recognition that helps employees improve their performance.

  • Developing necessary process improvements, communications and effective working relationships that establish accountability and positively impact Asset Reconciliation and business partners.

  • Projects that are often broad in scope and require strategic thinking skills, tactical execution and implementation.

Additionally, the candidate must be comfortable leading and facilitating group discussions and influencing individuals across a broad range of tenures and working styles. The candidate must be a self-motivated, results-oriented individual with strong teamwork skills who can drive critical decisions that have potential high impact to the business. This position will work across the company, up to the executive level, and must develop and leverage strong cross-functional relationships to be successful.

What you have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of financial services experience preferably in an with brokerage operations, banking operations, or accounting operations experience

  • Experience performing transactional oversight of operational processes

  • 1-2 years of demonstrated leadership experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement programs and ideas to create scalable processes and controls:

  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests and meet deadlines

  • Minimum 1-2 years working on projects in different roles

  • Knowledge of Schwab systems and procedures a plus

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint
