As a BI Analyst you will:

  • Produce automated and ad-hoc reports and self-service tools using SQL and Tableau to help ensure Schwab is meeting regulatory needs

  • Continuously work with the business to build relationships, understand needs and the impact of your work, and ensure accuracy

  • Negotiate deadlines and scope; then strive to meet commitments

  • Work with a focus on quality and an eye for detail

  • Help us guide our service model from reactive data pulls to proactive self-service information and insight

  • Bring a fresh perspective to our team, identify areas where we can get better and help drive improvements

What you have:

  • Enthusiasm and are detail-driven, quality and results-focused, curious and inquisitive, influential, and a great partner and team-mate

  • A natural tendency to derive insights from data, spot issues with data, and the resourcefulness to find solutions and overcome barriers

  • Experience working directly with business leaders to understand the decisions and impacts driven by data

  • The desire to manage concurrent projects and establish priorities

  • Communication skills centered on explaining complicated information to both technical and non-technical partners

  • An understanding of relational databases and architecture

  • Experience deploying self-service and data discovery solutions to a non-technical audience

  • 5-10 years of hands-on business analysis and development of automated reports, dashboards, self-serve tools, etc.

  • 3-5 years of experience using advanced SQL in a large scale data warehouse environment

  • Knowledge of the brokerage business, financial services, and/or Schwab preferred
