Our Opportunity:

Our goal in Alternative Investment Custody Services (AICS) is to provide industry-leading service to our clients while adhering to the strenuous risk and control measures inherent to the alternative investment business.

What you’ll do:

As an Alternative Investment Custody Services (AICS) Representative at Charles Schwab, you will pursue our mission and values through:

  • Executing timely and accurate alternative investment purchase requests received from clients and investment advisers

  • Maintaining and following-up on open order purchase log

  • Networking with personnel internally and externally to resolve issues, gaining needed information and influencing outcomes.

  • Delivering unparalleled value and outstanding service to our clients in order to build and maintain client loyalty.

Additional responsibilities could include:

  • Handling the cashiering and money movement duties, including processing wire transfers, check deposits, and cash journals

  • Confirming and reconciling Alternative Investments held in Schwab client accounts

  • Processing client account asset transfers to third party broker dealers, banks and trust companies

  • Coordinating with clients and investment sponsors on execution of voluntary and mandatory corporate actions

What you have:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the securities, brokerage or financial services industry

  • Familiarity with Alternative or Non-Standard Assets preferred

  • Passion for helping solve problems and overcome barriers

  • Excellent computer skills required. Advanced in Microsoft Excel preferred

  • Detailed oriented and conscientious

  • Good understanding of, and some prior experience in, risk management, such as escalating issues through proper channels

  • Research and problem resolution experience preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain strong business relationships

  • Series 7/63 and 9/10 preferred

The work schedule for this position is Monday thru Friday with a 7:30am MT start time. Must have flexibility to change work schedule to work until 4:30pm MT.

Note Role may be filled as a Specialist (GL 55) or Sr. Specialist (GL 56) depending on experience and licensing
