Our Opportunity:

The Business Enterprise Solutions team in Charles Schwab’s IT organization is looking for a motivated Sr. developer for our Treasury business applications. Working closely with the various business teams, this position will assist with the enhancement and advancement of Schwab internal solutions including the following packaged software and SaaS applications for the Capital Markets, Mid-Office, Cash Management, Treasury Finance, Liquidity Management and Securities Lending business areas. This role will work on various projects to identify, analyze and take a leadership role in developing the evolution of the foundational platforms.

What you’ll do:

  • Take point on critical project, enhancement and other development endeavors

  • Participate, lead and promote the DevCore Agile Scrum Team

  • Provide direct mentorship to the junior developers on the team

  • Aide in delivering technical strategies and solutions, application development, and end-users services

  • Lead projects to implement new or enhance existing functionalities including articulating requirements and translating them into effective technical solutions

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with team members and stakeholders

  • See the big picture but also navigate the details

  • Work collaboratively as a team player to develop mutually acceptable solutions, and act as a mentor to team

  • Solve problems and provide support, taking responsibility to make decisions when appropriate

  • Take on diverse set of projects and tasks

  • Provide crisp and well-understood directives and communication

  • Communicate on a technical and non-technical level to all levels of staff and management

  • Track and manage dependencies across lines of business and platforms

  • Understand applications from a technical and business perspective

  • Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and lead by example

What you have:

  • Highly skilled and experienced with technologies, such as, AnuglarJS, C#, .Net, Java and SQL; C++ Experience highly desired

  • Experience in working with Agile Scrum teams is required

  • A track record identifying and managing issues, risks and dependencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Excellent relationship management and mediation skills, with a knack for weighing multiple stakeholder perspectives and driving timely and effective decision-making

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, organization, decision-making, and influencing skills

  • Familiarity with the financial services domain or a strong desire to learn about the industry

  • Team player with strong collaborative qualities and a positive demeanor

  • Ability/desire to listen and encourage thoughts, opinions and discussions where needed
