Our Opportunity:

We are looking for a Sr. Quantitative Analyst to play a critical part in the growing responsibilities of the Model Risk Management team. In this role, you will assist with performing independent model validations, which includes: reviewing model documentation for completeness, assessing the suitability of models for their intended purposes, performing stress testing and other sensitivity analysis, reviewing data inputs and outputs, and making recommendations for improvements. You will need to demonstrate a strong quantitative aptitude, a good understanding of how financial models are used in business and regulatory contexts, and excellent verbal and written communication skills

What you’ll do:

  • Review and analyze sophisticated financial models, which may include developing alternative challenger models.

  • Present work through formal validation reports and presentations to model owners and senior management.

  • Partner effectively with all model stakeholders to ensure optimal outcomes for the validation process.

  • Keep abreast with developments in quantitative risk management and industry best practices in model validation.

  • Work on high visibility and high exposure projects.

What you have:

  • Advanced degree in a highly quantitative discipline, PhD preferred.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry.

  • Experience with financial predictive modeling disciplines, such as consumer behavioral modeling, econometric forecasting, Monte Carlo analysis, or decision science.

  • Strong computer skills. Experience programming in an advanced programming language such as C++ preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of analytical tools such as SAS, R, or MATLAB.

  • Experience with financial vendor tools, such as Bloomberg, PolyPaths, QRM, BlackRock Anser is desirable.

  • Experience with development, use, or validation of stress testing models (CCAR or DFAST) is a plus.
