Charles Schwab Investment Management (CSIM), the asset management arm of Charles Schwab Corporation (Schwab), has approximately $300 billion in assets under management (AUM) and is one of the nation’s largest retail money managers. CSIM provides a wide variety of products ranging from money market funds, index mutual funds, actively managed mutual funds, exchange traded funds and asset allocation fund-of-funds. As a provider of core investment products, CSIM is both an important enabler in fulfilling Schwab’s mission of helping everyone be financially fit and a critical engine in the company’s profitability and growth.
What you’ll do:
With over $160 billion in 21 funds with 31 share classes, CSIM is the seventh largest manager of money market funds (MMFs) in the US. The MMFs serve as the core cash management product for many of Schwab’s affluent clients and the clients of Registered Investment Advisors who custody their assets at Schwab. The Senior Manager will be a key team member in preparing the Schwab Money Market Funds for distribution through Charles Schwab Corporation. Projects may include: launching new Schwab money funds and making changes to existing ones, writing communications for use by Schwab personnel and clients, remediation/migration of clients in the existing money funds to other money funds or cash investment vehicles, and providing support on strategy projects on the fund line-up. In addition, on-going/routine tasks will include preparing and maintaining market collateral, regulatory documents and website content as well as facilitating the resolution of potential operational issues that may occur with the funds. Specific Responsibilities
Ensure the relevance and accuracy of information provided on the funds to clients and prospects. Items include fact sheets, performance summaries, web pages, etc. Serve as the “voice of the client” in the development of shareholder reports, prospectuses and other fund documents. Respond to questions regarding the money funds from the field, clients and prospects.
Be the relentless advocate and promoter of your assigned funds within Schwab. Identify opportunities to grow assets under management through quantitative analyses of client behavior patterns, market research and feedback from business partners. Identify potential causes of current asset attrition, threats to long-term growth and potential remediation actions.
Support the Product Management and the CSIM Product Strategy/Development Teams in developing and implementing the strategy for the funds, which will include: Positioning vis-à-vis competitors and complimentary Schwab products. Enhancements ranging from small actions to product line overhauls.

What you have:
BA/BS with a minimum of 5 years working experience. 3 to 5 years of experience in the mutual funds industry or related asset management fields a big plus. Money funds experienced preferred.
Series 7 required. May obtain within first 6 months in the role.
Proven self-starter comfortable in juggling multiple projects with potentially conflicting priorities and resource/time constraints
Proven project management skills: building project plans and managing to it
Ability to work with data to find insights on client behavior/needs and understand financial trade-offs of product development options
Understanding of fixed income securities and markets
Strong written communication skills: conveying concise and effective points tailored for specific audiences using PowerPoint
Natural ability to build and maintain relationships
Passion for serving clients and investments industry
