Our Opportunity:

The Corporate System (cSyS) team within Charles Schwab’s Corporate Information Technology (CIT) organization is looking for a motivated, inquisitive, and experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for our Treasury and Securities Lending Technology Teams. Working closely with the various business teams, this position will take on a key role supporting our critical projects which support Cash Management, Liquidity Management, Treasury Finance, Capital Markets, Securities Lending, and Short Sale Automation. The role with work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owner, Project Architect, and Technology Leadership to correlate that system and business processes as they relate to project requirements. The Sr BSA will help to drive the overall project solution.

What you’ll do:

  • Directly engage with business and technical teams along with stakeholders, architects and various leadership throughout the company

  • Become an Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the underlying system processes and data structures that support the Treasury and Securities Lending business process

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with team members and stakeholders

  • Work closely with the Agile scrum teams and Product Owner

  • See the big picture but also navigate the details

  • Work collaboratively as a team player to develop mutually acceptable solutions, and act as a mentor/coach to the technical team

  • Solve problems and provide support, taking responsibility to make decisions when appropriate

  • Work effectively with leadership, stakeholders, and product owner to understand the greater business objectives and technical strategy

  • Provide crisp and well-understood directives and communication

  • Communicate on a technical and non-technical level to all levels of staff and management

  • Track and manage dependencies across lines of business and platforms

  • Understand applications from a technical and business perspective

  • Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and lead by example

What you have:

  • Demonstrate a high capacity for problem solving, technical knowledge, and advanced learning techniques

  • Experience with working with higher-level leadership, business stakeholders, and development teams

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Excellent relationship management and mediation skills, with a knack for weighing multiple stakeholder perspectives and driving timely and effective decision-making

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, organization, decision-making, and influencing skills

  • Familiarity with the financial services domain or a strong desire to learn about the industry

  • Experience in an Agile development environment desired

  • Team player with strong collaborative qualities and a positive demeanor

  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and Visio Drawing tool along with general familiarity with Outlook and other MS Office applications is also required

  • Ability/desire to listen and encourage thoughts, opinions and discussions where needed
