Our Opportunity:

The Banking Technology Team provides application development and project delivery support to Charles Schwab Bank. Charles Schwab Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Charles Schwab and Co., Inc. With $153.9 billion in assets, Charles Schwab Bank is the 15 th largest bank in the country. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be part of a fast paced development environment providing scalable technology solutions to solve complex business problems. This role requires analytical skills, thought leadership and collaboration to achieve maximum product delivery across a highly leveraged and integrated set of applications involving in-house developed and SaaS solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Translate business needs into technical solutions and corresponding technical requirements used throughout the development process

  • Develop Functional Specifications and system context diagrams

  • Drive significant enhancements and streamlining of existing processes and support the introduction of new technologies to enable delivery of diverse solutions and product offerings

  • Document use case requirements to drive the design or review of test cases and process change requests

  • Track and manage project scope, development, testing and deployment

  • Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, dependencies and other elements

  • Implements technology solutions in a cost-effective way and builds key relationships with stakeholders and communicates with business partners

  • Monitors progress by resolving problems, identifying and mitigating risks/issues and working closely with Project Manager to drive project forward

  • Facilitates effective project requirements discovery and elicitation meetings incorporating business requirements and technology best practices

  • Partners with other business and technology domains to ensure expectations are met and acts as a liaison between teams to resolve issues

  • Drives QA/UAT to ensure testing to requirements and technology solution is appropriate to meet business needs

What you have:

  • At least 8 years BSA/Project Management experience or knowledge with ability to provide leadership in a collaborative manner

  • 4 Year Degree in Technology, Math or related discipline or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated experience as a highly motivated technical professional

  • Demonstrated experience win collaborating with business and technical teams to understand requirements, impact analysis

  • Impact Analysis experience with data changes in upstream/downstream systems

  • Experience with Agile Delivery Framework/methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or Lean)

  • Ability to mentor junior level team members

  • Strong knowledge of UAT/QA practices, testing tools and methodologies

  • Solid interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, and prioritization skills

  • Competent with MS Office Suite of products including MS Project, Excel, Work, Visio, Outlook
