Our Opportunity:

This position will be a combination of Scrum Master as the primary role, and Business System Analyst (BSA) as the secondary role. This position will help lead our CRT organization forward as we move deeper into an Agile development environment, performing all normal Scrum Master duties including promoting effective collaboration, facilitating and driving daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings, and providing leadership and coaching to the team in support of the Agile development process. They will be our resident agile expert, and leadership and coaching will be key traits for success, along with flexibility to adopt the agile principles to our Schwab environment.

What you’ll do:

What you will do as Scrum Master: Participate and support development and software delivery. Including: Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meeting Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information Identify and remove impediments, prevent distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal Support agile based SDLC for software development creating necessary standards, tools and best practices in a clearly document form, and champion the agile philosophy throughout the team Adapting project scope, schedules, and resource assignments as required throughout projects to respond to emerging requirements and risks.

What you will do as BSA: Translates business needs into technical solutions and corresponding technical use cases/requirements leveraged throughout the development process. Development of Functional Specifications and system context diagrams are required. Track and manage a project’s scope, development, testing and deployment. Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements. Helps implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way and builds key relationships with stakeholders and communicates with partners. Facilitates effective project requirement discovery meetings while exhibiting confidence and extensive knowledge of business requirements and emerging technology best practices. Partnering with business organizations (e.g. Client Reporting) to ensure expectations are met and acting as a liaison between business and technical teams to resolve issues.

What you have:

  • Practical working experience of 3+ years as working Scrum Master as well as 2+ years working as a Technical BSA

  • Must be a Certified Scrum Master

  • 6+ years of technology experience

  • Previous development experience preferred, or experience in large enterprise environment with numerous domains and integration points

  • Experience with Jira preferred

  • Experience working with an agile methodology on large scale, technically complex projects for a large enterprise

  • Ability to understand technical issues

  • Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle

  • Highly adaptable to changing environment

  • Must be self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems

  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with business and technical teams to understand requirements, impact analysis

  • Impact Analysis experience with data changes in upstream/downstream systems

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision- making and conflict resolution skills

  • Strong knowledge of MS Project, Outlook, Excel, Word and Visio Drawing tools

  • Financial Industry experience a plus

  • Bachelor's degree and relevant education and experience
