The Advisor Services Technology (AST) team is responsible for leading a coordinated technology approach to developing and maintaining Schwab’s primary digital channels. Our goal is to create a seamless experience across our mobile, web and downloadable platforms that are powerful yet simple for our customers to use.
What you’ll do:
We’re looking for a motivated technical lead to join our web applications team in our Lone Tree (Denver) office. This individual should have a passion for the user experience as well as delivering cutting-edge technology solutions in a fast-paced environment.
As the technical leader of the development team, you’ll be responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of web-based solutions. You’ll not only spend time doing hands-on development, but you’ll also define architectures for new projects, perform code reviews, and mentor junior and mid-level developers. You’ll actively collaborate with geographically-dispersed, cross-functional teams to integrate, test, and deliver complex software solutions in a timely fashion. The ability to self-direct, collaborate with remote team members, and interface with both Product Management and technology are key for this role.
As the technical lead, you’ll also become part of a broader community of other technical leads and architects within AST working to shape the future of Schwab’s advisor product offering.

You should possess a keen knowledge, desire, and passion to produce usable, secure, and scalable web software solutions using advanced development technologies.
The following qualifications are sought for this position:
6+ Years of web software development experience in the .NET Framework
3+ years of ASP.NET MVC experience
Expertise in the Visual Studio IDE
Experience building REST services using ASP.NET WebAPI or .NET core
1+ years of Angular development experience
Proficiency with RDBMS platforms like SQL Server and Oracle
Knowledge of no-SQL databases like MongoDB or Redis a plus
Knowledge of the Agile/Scrum development process
2+ years leading development teams, including mentoring junior developers and performing code reviews
Experience building enterprise-grade, public-facing web applications a big plus
Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment across multiple time zones and locations
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
