Client Tax Reporting (CTR) is a part of the Custody & Asset Services division of Operational Services. We are dedicated to leading a culture that delivers timely and accurate tax reporting in our efforts to create a premier client experience, while providing a controlled and disciplined environment that allows our employees to feel valued and engaged. Client Tax Reporting is under the Shared Support Services umbrella.
What you’ll do:
The Managing Director will lead a team of responsible for providing accurate and timely tax reporting services to all nonresident alien Schwab clients, reporting to foreign agencies under Common Reporting Standards and generating reporting for IRA accounts.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Implementation of IRS regulations; generation of business requirements and end-to-end testing for tax changes; production of tax forms and letters; reconciliation and remittance of tax withholding to appropriate agencies.
• Communicate frequently with professional organizations, the IRS, other state regulatory agencies and representatives, and customers.
• Partner with Client Reporting Technology and QA to implement business requirements in applications they support to reporting income to appropriate US or foreign jurisdictions.
• Work closely with the Information Reporting, Policy & Compliance group to ensure Schwab meets all its client regulatory reporting functions.
What you have:
5+ years’ supervision experience
Strong communication, influencing, and relationship skills, including experience working with all levels of management
Knowledge and understanding of Tax Reporting
Proven ability to execute on organization initiatives
Time management, organization, and prioritization skills
The ability to work under intensive deadlines
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Series 7, 63 preferred or willing to complete a condition of employment (COE) within 12 months from hire date
Series 24 a plus
