The Global Data Technology team in Charles Schwab’s IT organization is looking for a motivated business systems analyst for our Data Warehouse implementation. You will be a liaison between business partners and technology teams, understanding needs and driving delivery of solutions to help grow and improve the Data Warehouse. You will be the requirements lead on a range of projects. Your work will impact the success of the firm by automating manual processes and addressing internal priorities, which, in turn, will enable the business to make data driven decisions. You will work on internally developed as well as vendor solutions.
What you’ll do:
Develop an expert understanding of the Internal Operations business and applications
Identify opportunities to improve business processes and system solutions
Be a trusted liaison between the business and technology teams, understanding needs/ requests, planning releases that reflect those needs, translating them into technical solutions, and working to see them implemented flawlessly
Identify and document current business processes and recommend improvements
Partner with stakeholders to define, design, develop, test and implement data warehouse solutions
Ensure that complex business requirements are accurately captured and understood by all stakeholders (with use cases, stories, and more, as appropriate)
Support the User Acceptance Testing phase of the implementation, including coordination of issue analysis/ resolution
Manage and drive business decisions to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and within scope
What you have:
3+ years of business systems analyst work experience in a Data Warehousing environment to include Data Modeling tools (ERWin), ETL Tools (Informatica) and Database technologies (Teradata preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Adept at translating business requirements into technical specifications
Excellent relationship management and mediation skills, with a knack for weighing multiple stakeholder perspectives and driving timely and effective decision-making
Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, organization, decision-making, and influencing skills
Track record of influencing clients and partners
Experience in an Agile development environment desired
