Our Opportunity:

The Corporate Oversight Technology team in Charles Schwab’s IT organization is looking for a motivated business systems analyst for our Compliance business applications. You will be a liaison between business partners and technology teams, understanding needs and driving delivery of solutions to help improve the Compliance business function. You will be the requirements lead on a range of projects. Your work will impact the success of the firm by automating manual processes and addressing regulatory priorities, which, in turn, will protect the Schwab brand. You will work on internally developed and vendor solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop an expert understanding of the Compliance and Legal business and applications

  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and system solutions

  • Be a trusted liaison between the business and technology teams, understanding needs/ requests, planning releases that reflect those needs, translating them into technical solutions, and working to see them implemented flawlessly

  • Identify and document current business processes and recommend improvements

  • Partner with stakeholders to define, design, develop, test and implement business solutions

  • Ensure that complex business requirements are accurately captured and understood by all stakeholders (with use cases, stories, and more, as appropriate)

  • Support the User Acceptance Testing phase of the implementation, including coordination of issue analysis/ resolution

  • Manage and drive business decisions to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and within scope

  • Design and develop dashboards and other interfaces to simplify the presentation of information to business users

What you have:

  • 3+ years of business systems analyst work experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Adept at translating business requirements into technical specifications

  • Excellent relationship management and mediation skills, with a knack for weighing multiple stakeholder perspectives and driving timely and effective decision-making

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, organization, decision-making, and influencing skills

  • Track record of influencing clients and partners

  • A track record identifying and managing issues, risks and dependencies as well as defining and executing mitigation strategies and contingences

  • Familiarity with the financial services domain or a strong desire to learn about the industry, including a willingness to get a Series 7

  • Experience in an Agile development environment desired
