The Market and Investment Risk Technology group supports data and custom application needs of the Corporate Risk organization. The scope of our work includes all phases of the development lifecycle including design, development, testing, release management and production implementation and support. As a member of this team, this position will have direct interaction with business partners and other internal technology delivery and support teams. The results of our work directly impacts business partners by automating manual processes, improving data accuracy for risk analysis.
What you’ll do:
You’ll be involved in the technical phases of the software development life cycle. You will work closely with business subject matter experts (product owners and business systems analysts) to understand requirements for functional enhancements. You’ll design and develop code, support testing, assist production releases, and provide post-implementation support. Example activities include: Design and develop solutions using .NET framework in a shared SQL environment Implement test practices, standards and processes, troubleshoot test issues, record test results, track and prioritize defects, participate in product readiness and release decisions. Make sure the automation is constantly running and being analyzed, reporting on failure promptly. Extend existing applications with feature enhancements Provide support for production problems and daily batch processing Evaluate issues and provide solutions by collaborating with other engineers Track the status of issues/tasks (Jira) and provide updates to stakeholders as required
What you have:
2+ years of experience with MVC and WebForms, C# & ASP.NET development in Visual Studio
2+ years of experience in development, execution, and maintenance of automated test scripts
Excellent problem solving / investigation abilities
Ability to work with business subject matter experts (strong attentive listening skills) to translate user requirements into working code and tests
Ability to contribute positively in a team environment and take on project ownership when required
Highly desirable skills: Development for cloud deployments Microsoft Test Manager, Visual Studio Test, or Selenium experience
Experience with CAM, RRBus, RabbitMQ
Familiarity with code reviews
Relational database design and development experience (SQL Server strongly preferred)
Experience with continuous build process using bamboo/bit bucket, git Windows batch scripting and scheduling
Production support experience
Familiarity with Windows Server / IIS configuration ETL (SSIS) Reporting (SSRS)
Understanding of Agile and Team SDLC
Knowledge of financial institution data and desire to learn about the industry
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks Excellent verbal and written communication skills
