The Regulatory Operations group is within Corporate Legal Services and is seeking a Paralegal (Regulatory Operations Specialist) to support the Regulatory Liaison Office and Regulatory Counsel teams.
What you’ll do:
The Paralegal (Regulatory Operations Specialist) will support the operational aspects of exam management and regulatory change management functions. Responsibilities to include:
Scheduling multi-participant meetings (live and virtual) related to regulatory examinations and internal staff meetings.
Assisting business partners with responses to regulatory exam document requests
Managing exam-related documentation (both electronic and paper)
Coordinating/facilitating necessary communications between all stakeholders
Taking meeting notes, summarizing, and preparing minutes and related documentation
Maintaining, updating, and archiving documents in SharePoint site.
The Regulatory Operations Specialist role will also support the development of tools, policies and procedures that establish appropriate regulatory protocols in an effort to ensure a consistent, repeatable and auditable exam management and regulatory change management program (s) at Schwab.
What you have:
Bachelor's Degree with 2 - 5 (+) years' Paralegal (or similar experience, .e.g. Project Coordination or Process Improvement) from a large law firm or in-house legal department.Strong technical skills with Microsoft SharePoint (or similar) and corporate intranet portals, is a plus; Knowledge and experience in creating databases (Excel, a must; Access +/or SQL, a plus).
Prior experience providing knowledge management support highly desirable.
Strong project management, change management, and/or process improvement skill sets
Work effectively with others at all levels across the organization and provide authoritative guidance to management and staff within the organization. Pragmatic, self-motivated, flexible and team oriented attitude.
Well-developed organizational and communication skills, including client service mindset.
Aptitude for and interest in technology and integration issues.
Experience or familiarity with regulatory change management a plus but not mandatory.
