Our Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced & seasoned Java developer with a solid background in big data environment to work in Marketing Technology group.

This position will be responsible for leading the development, testing and deployment of various marketing applications. The role will interact with business and technology teams, understand requirements, complete impact analysis, make coding changes and test, coordinate various stages of testing with business and/or other technology teams, complete production implementations and provide technology and production support. Your knowledge of modern development practices will aid in the current adoption of Agile methodologies, continuous integration and deployment strategies leveraging tools like Jenkins/Bamboo with a DevOps philosophy.

  • As a senior developer you will be a self-driven individual contributor; provide efficiently organized and designed logic; be highly-motivated and well versed in developing robust easily maintainable applications.

  • Research, Design, develop, test, deploy and document Windows/Unix based applications.

  • Ability to communicate well with teams and leaders of the organization; have good listening skills, ask great questions and drive process improvements

  • This position requires good interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong technology affinity and experience, as well as attention to detail is required.

What you have:

Experience:

  • 5+ years of enterprise technology related experience in application development using Java/J2EE with service oriented architectures, application servers/frameworks (Spring, WebSphere etc).

  • 5+ years of working experience developing applications in UNIX and Linux environments (ksh, bash, shell scripts etc.,) While generally Java based, application platforms supported span Java, .NET as well as vendor based solutions

  • Experience/knowledge with SCM (Team Foundation Server, GIT) and DevOps tool suite (Atlassian preferred)

  • Strong knowledge and experience working with web services (SOAP, REST), XML , JSON and XSLT preferred

  • Experience with Client side scripting frameworks like angular, knockout and backbone is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum Experience adopting or managing continuous Integration and continuous delivery concepts and frameworks

  • 2+ years of working experience with SQL Server 2012 (or higher) and Oracle 10g (or higher) or any other RDBMS software.

  • 2+ years of working experience with Atlassian tools JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo and Bitbucket

  • Experience with test driven development highly preferred (Junit, EasyMock etc.,)

  • Hands-on experience with Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Flume, apache STORM, Kafka and Hbase (At least 2 years)

  • Familiarity with MapR distribution of Hadoop is preferred

  • Experience in Marketing an predictive Analytics products(like RTD Machine Learning, IBM Watson, Interaction, H2O etc.,) is preferred but not a mandatory.

Qualification:

  • Masters/Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or related & 5 years of progressive experience.
