Our Opportunity:

The Client Experience Technology (CET) team is responsible for leading a coordinated technology approach to developing and maintaining Schwab’s primary digital channels. Our goal is to create a seamless experience across our mobile, web and downloadable platforms that are powerful yet simple for our customers to use.

What you’ll do:

Integral to a highly scalable yet customized suite of platforms is the need for a strong HTML5 offering within technology. Monitoring the industry for emerging trends and bringing relevant advancements to the team is crucial.

In addition:

Strong emphasis on implementing outstanding quality engineering practices to create a highly predictive, secure, and stable suite of products.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.

Help foster a team where developing deep product knowledge in order to assist in delivering business objectives is encouraged.

Complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables with other developers and project team members

Build and develop strong relationships with peers and key business team members.

What you have:

  • 3-5 years of full stack application development experience

  • Bachelor's degree from 4-year accredited degree granting college or university is preferred, or equivalent experience

  • Proven experience developing and implementing applications, particularly web-enabled applications using AngularJS, C#, ASP.NET, HTML5, ASP.NET web forms, MVC, JSON

  • Experience with JavaScript unit testing frameworks (Jasmine, Mocha) and orchestration tools is a plus

  • You will also have good and broad technical skills, with a practical knowledge of OOP and distributed environments: .net, XML, web services (SOAP and REST)

  • Passion for enterprise-level agile development with focus on true dev ops and automation

  • Have experience with one or more of the following RDBMS: Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and use of Splunk a plus

  • Solid understanding in web application environments and development tools, event-driven application development, session state management, web configuration and deployment strategies, security and performance tuning, and debugging methodologies

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Effective time management. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task effectively

  • Have a passion for problem solving, the ability to quickly learn new concepts, and must be able to interact with all levels of technical and business teams;

  • Proven ability to work independently or as an integral member of a team

  • Be a team player, self-motivated and able to work collaboratively across organizations and geographic locations
