Our Opportunity:

The Advisor Services Production Support group which includes PCC Production Support is responsible for providing timely, knowledgeable, friendly enterprise-class support for a suite of products and services provided to Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs). The platforms we support are essential to the success of the investment advisor and offer features such as client relationship management, portfolio accounting, trading, data integration, reporting and much more.

What you’ll do:

This is a Tier 2 support development position that requires a broad range of development capabilities and technological breadth. The Associate Staff Developer will be responsible for contributing to a development production support team. The team is responsible for investigating and providing solutions for issues on the latest Schwab applications. The application suite is a broad complex suite across a variety of technologies (.NET, C#, HTML5, Javascript, Angular, REST, MongoDB, etc.) that require a very motivated full stack developer with outstanding investigation, debugging, and programming skills. The position will be a combination of working with main line developers to inherit application details for support, investigating and resolving production issues, enhancing product stability and DevOps capabilities, and providing documentation for Tier 1 support. The candidate should possess excellent leadership and multitasking skills. This is a very dynamic environment and will require juggling multiple tasks simultaneously. The candidate should have strong object oriented design and programming skills using Windows .NET C#, REST or Soap Services, Web APIs, HTML5, Javascript, MongoDB (or SQL) and experience implementing object oriented solutions for web based deployment. This role will require strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to provide detailed root cause analysis, resolution options, and long term improvements to avoid issues in the future.

What you have:


  • Coursework and/or experience successfully developing applications for Windows platforms using Microsoft technologies

  • Excellent debugging skills across a variety of integrated platforms

  • Strong written and verbal communications, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are necessary.

  • Ability to interact and communicate successfully with business partners and technology teams

  • Coursework and/or experience developing with Java, C#, .Net, HTML5, Javascript

  • Coursework and/or experience developing services – preferably REST services

  • Very strong object oriented design skills with proven track record of well engineered design

  • Self starter who can grasp difficult concepts and large architectures.

  • Coursework and/or experience programming to databases

  • Strong estimation skills with ability to provide reasonable estimates

  • Experience with unit testing and history of successful interaction with a QA group

  • Experience developing hosted client server applications

  • BS or MS in computer science or related technical field


  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.

  • Experience with LINQ, Angular, Mongo DB is a plus
