Our Opportunity:

The Project Director, Cloud Platforms and Onboarding will be responsible for leading overall platform and project level coordination, driving platform onboardings and managing vendor relationships, budgets and contractual agreements. The leader will collaborate across a matrixed organization to deliver technology solutions and business value through efficient, disciplined and predictable project execution while managing critical internal and external relationships. Our ideal candidate is a confident self-starter who is has a passion for delivering cutting-edge technology, enjoys working with technology teams and business stakeholders to create roadmaps and execute upon to deliver solutions to our business partners and technology stakeholders. The Project Director is an individual contributor (no direct reports).

What you’ll do:

  • Partner directly with onboarding team to understand and refine processes to ensure transparent and efficient platform adoption

  • Create and maintain onboarding roadmap and create a sustainable 3 year platform adoption plan

  • Understanding the intricacies of delivering upon the said plan and ability to articulate at a detailed level

  • Review plan with technology and business leadership and effectively communicate to all levels of the organization

  • Manage day-to-day activities of tracking and execution to said plan and proactively escalate if the need arises

  • Efficiently steward the stakeholders through the onboarding process

  • Understanding of agile processes, team velocity and the ability to forecast progress accordingly

  • Collaborate across Build, Support, Automation and architectural teams to help remove roadblocks and drive platform adoption

  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal technical and legal teams to manage relationships and contractual agreements

  • Manage the overall departmental budget, track expenditures and ensure efficient departmental operations

  • Work across diverse business and technical partners to broker decisions and negotiate trade-offs

  • Understand project interdependencies and anticipate/manage/mitigate risks

  • Inspire project team members to improve their own performance; engage and motivate teams to go beyond their role expectations, to help each other, and to exceed goals

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of project management experience, managing multiple large, complex and cross functional projects, with emphasis on systems and technical environments

  • 5+ years of experience delivering projects in an Agile environment

  • Understanding and a passion for delivering technology based solutions

  • Proven ability to earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders through focused execution of business priorities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Ability to navigate and be successful in a highly matrixed organization

  • Sound business and technical acumen

  • Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure

  • Demonstrated and applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management tools and methodologies

  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Agile methodology

  • Financial Industry experience (plus)
