Our Opportunity:

The Business Process Management Technology (BPM) team develops & supports various technology platforms in support of overall workflow solutions at Schwab. These platforms are mission critical, and integral to providing world-class service to our external and internal clients. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly visible team working on an exciting and highly visible team at Schwab. Intelligent Portfolios Technology (IPT) is part of the Schwab Technology Services organization and is responsible for delivering Robo-Advisor solutions used by Schwab Clients and Advisors.

What you’ll do:

You'll be joining us as a Senior Staff - Technical Lead on the BPM Technology Center of Excellence team. This is an exciting role, where you’ll be a key contributor to building out the future of Pega at Schwab. Our COE will be integral to providing techonology solutions that help teams to achieve business transformation.

You will be expected to:

  • Bring your extensive Pega experience to the team and help us design the future of the platform at Schwab

  • Receive, prioritize and resolve COE front door requests – which will range across a wide variety of business and technical topics

  • Ability to adapt, and work on a wide variety of technical and BPM topics

  • Facilitate weekly Pega SR meetings for all applications in the enterprise

  • Deliver technical leadership and oversight of team activities, responding with clearn and concise feedback

  • Implement Pega-based proof of concepts, including integration with other technologies as well as capabilities in potential Pega upgrades.

  • Design architectural solutions based upon our business requirements

  • Act as a mentor and trainer for those learning Pega

  • Ensure that the team follows best practices and governance guidelines through design and code review practices

  • Actively participate in Direct Capture of Objectives sessions, offering guidance and thought leadership

  • Partner with other technology leads both in our organization and throughout Schwab to deliver our business solutions

  • Learn a wide range of Schwab business processes

What you have:

We have an exciting role for a self-motivated leader who is up for delivering transformational change and leading others. You also have:

  • 5 or more years’ experience in Pega Systems PRPC BPM Solution development - Certified Lead Systems Architect (CLSA) certification level.

  • Hands-on experience in using, building and managing PRPC frameworks for reuse, using Pega Connectors & Services for integration, PRPC tools (PAL, Tracer, Security Model, Access Groups, UI Portals, Log Analyzer).

  • Experience as a technical leader in an organization. This includes coaching and mentoring new associates, overseeing the development work of other resources, working through complex problems, and working with our business partners to deliver an amazing experience for our clients.

  • Working experience in Agile Development / scrum methodology.

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.

  • Working knowledge of Oracle / SQL. Familiarity with workflow concepts and document management processing
