Our Opportunity:

The Independent Branch Services (IBS) team is responsible for the growth of the Schwab footprint though independent branches, the business results of the current independent branches, the management of risk, and the operations of the independent branch network. This broader geographic footprint will help Schwab's high-service, high-value brokerage model reach millions more investors. With more local points of contact Schwab will expand its strong national brand, capture a greater share of assets, and deliver our promise to retail investors.

The Franchise Sales team is accountable for the recruitment and signing of new Independent Branch Leaders. The Senior Sales Support Specialist will report to the Managing Director of Franchise Sales and support the Franchise Sales Team. This role will also work closely with the Schwab enterprise-wide partners who support the mission of the IBS team.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide general support to a high volume sales team.

  • Coordinate internal and external resources to advance the team’s mission

  • Support the sales process and activity within the region, including but not limited to compliance support, resource coordination, sales material preparation, calendar management.

  • Impact client experience by interacting with end clients, primarily by phone, to facilitate the onboarding experience with Schwab Advisor Services.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 Licenses required

  • 2+ years financial services experience required, Schwab Advisor Services operations preferred

  • Experience in client service or sales support roles required

  • Strong client service skills with ability to anticipate and resolve problems with own initiative

  • Knowledge of Schwab products and services and brokerage industry including operations and trading

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong PC skills in MS office applications including EXCEL and PowerPoint are required

  • Well organized with excellent time-management skills
